FUNDING & FEES

We offer Government funding here at U1R Nurseries! We are here to help you with your childcare costs and help create the best funding plan for you and your child.

We are proud to be flexible with funding patterns and offer a short day, long day, breakfast club and additional hours; all inclusive of funding allocations. Anything that falls outside of the funded hours, will have private paying fees apply; please request a parent pack for full breakdowns and prices.

3 & 4 YEAR OLDS

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours universal funding- no need to apply. As well as this, some three and four year olds are also entitled to 30 hours funding per week. Check online now if your child qualifies for this. Don’t miss out!

If they do qualify for 30 hours; we require the 11 digit code.

9 MONTHS

We offer funding from aged 9 months due to the update in Government funding. Please apply online now for your code, once you have obtained this, please contact the nursery. Most families will qualify for 30 hours per week funding to use towards childcare and nursery costs. Please note this funding can only be used the term AFTER your child turns 9 months.

2 YEAR OLDS

We offer the working two year old funding and the Early Access to Education for 2’s here at U1R Nurseries.


Early Access to Education funding provides 15 hours per week towards your childcare costs and Working Two Year Old Funding allows up to 30 hours.

Please note; if obtaining a Early Access to Education Code - this is made up of 5 letters/numbers. If it is a Working Two Year Old Funding Code is is made up of 11 numbers.

  • We have several funding packages available and work with families to determine the best pattern for you and your family.

    You can use your 15 or 30 hours flexibly within our sessions patterns and we also accept tax free childcare payments and child grant payment service for parents that are full time students in education.

  • Children who access the working code from 9months to 5 years can use 30 hours term time (38 weeks of the year) or 24 hours all year round (51 weeks of the year).

    If your child accesses Early Education for 2 year olds or Universal Funding for 3-4 Year olds, they will be entitled to 15 hours Term Time Only (38 weeks of the year) or 12 Hours all year round (51 weeks of the year).

    You are also able to add privately paid additional hours onto your funding.

  • There are no extra charges.

    All you are charged for is your food charge.

    All Soft play, forest school, sensory spaces and consumables are included.

    Food Charges are as below for funded hours:

    Short Day 9-3 : £6 per day
    Short Day with Breakfast 8-3 or 8-4 : £6.50
    Long Day 8-5:30 : £7.00 per day

    Please Note: due to having a number of children with severe allergies, we are a no outside food nursery.
    Therefore this charge is mandatory and no packed lunches or snacks can be provided from home.

    If your child has additional support needs around food, please speak to a member of the team and we can arrange a list of safe foods/lunches to suit their individual needs.

    We do not charge extra for allergy safe foods for our children with allergies. This is something we are proud to support and we cover these extra costs in house.

    This is also the same for children weaning/learning about new foods and meals/snacks are prepared to suit the children’s individual developmental stages in line with the safer eating policy.

    Please note that we have the right to change our fees and food charges at any time. This will be communicated 4 weeks prior to any updates via the FAMLY app directly from management.

    The nursery also has the right to implement additional charges for services/activities and will communicate this via the FAMLY app directly from management 4 weeks prior to any of these coming into force. As a parent you have the right to OPT out of any of these charges and you will be provided with the opportunity to do so prior to the change taking place.

  • Funding works in 3 large terms; Spring, Summer and Autumn.

    Please note; if joining from another provider mid term, they do not have to transfer the funding for that term. Please do check with them first before agreeing any moves.

    This works the same way for any children leaving our setting mid term.

    This is an agreement between providers only and each provider has the legal right to withhold funding for the term. We will advise you as to when the next term will start and transfer can happen if the funding can not be transferred.

  • It is the parents responsibility to track their funding code and apply for the funding code confirmation within good time.

    The nursery does not have any acess to your funding portal, and not help if the code lapses without confirmation.

    Please note this code needs to be confirmed every 3 months by the parent and each family will have a different confirmation date.

    Should your code lapse, you will be liable for all fees for the term, so please make sure this is regularly checked and confirmed.
