Here at U1R Nurseries, we aim to provide a rich and stimulating learning environment that will cater towards your child's individual learning style and need. This will encourage positive relationships with adults and peers, the ability communicate effectively and develop the skills needed to become independent life long learners, solve problems and be critical thinkers.
Our ethos relies heavily on recycled materials and natural resources creating an environmentally friendly setting. Visually our aim is to create a natural, warm and exploratory environment where your children will develop skills for life long learning.
Within the nurturing and caring environment of U1R Nurseries, these attributes will flourish through lots of imaginative, play based learning and a curiosity approach.
Our Aims and Objectives
• To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment. We nurture each child to flourish in their own individual way and support them to reach their full potential, recognising that each child has their own unique learning journey.
• To work in partnership with parents and other professional bodies, to ensure a non-discriminatory environment for staff and parents alike. To support and embrace matters arising from race, culture, language and religion and treat all children as individuals.
• To provide a natural open ended learning environment that promotes child led learning through a curiosity approach. This will be implemented within our setting and the arts will be at the core of all of our approaches.
• To provide a carefully planned curriculum of learning and development which will then enable the children to become life long, confident, independent and articulate learners.
• To ensure the children have access to daily led activities such as creative, physical, imaginative and intellectual play. This is balanced with child initiated free flow play all day both indoors and outdoors to their own purpose designed gardens, where children can choose their own activity to build and develop their own friendships and learning.
• To offer continual professional develop (CPD) for all staff to ensure that training is kept up to date as well as nurturing their career aspirations and qualifications.
